UDA MCA’s SLUM SAKAJA OVER HIS DALLIANCE WITH AZIMIO

A storm is brewing in Nairobi county after UDA MCAs accused Governor Johnson Sakaja of sidelining them in making key decisions in the county.
The MCAs led by its leadership has claimed the Governor has gone to bed with the opposition.

“Our governor has completely neglected the government side and has decided to work more with Azimio side,” said Antony Kiragu, the Minority leader.

Kiragu also accused the UDA Governor of sideshows and using to publicity instead of delivering his manifesto.
He revealed that casual workers will be going to Christmas unhappy due to unpaid arrears from the county.
Casual workers had assembled outside City Hall on Friday demanding their pay.
Going further, the Minority leader called on Sakaja to work for all residents in Nairobi and bring on board all MCAs.

“Sakaja was elected by Nairobi people but we are here to remind him to remember which Party gave him the Governor’s seat,” Kiragu asserted.

“Sakaja was elected on UDA flag and if he feels he cannot involve us in the issues he can go back to the field and be elected in the party he can serve,” he added.

In addition, UDA MCAs vowed to boycott plenary sittings in protest over Sakaja’s recent appointments
They accused the governor of favouring the Azimio la Umoja side in the appointments.
Minority Whip Mark Mugambi said the President’s party with not take part in illegality.
“Kenya kwanza is not part of any illegality and we shall not take part . UDA MCAs will not adopt any report of chief officers until the governor finds a better way in,” he said.
The County Assembly is holding a special sitting in the afternoon to consider the vetting report of the chief officers.
Despite UDA not attending the plenary sitting, Mugambi noted that Sakaja has the numbers to pass the chief officers with the Azimio people.
“ We don’t have a problem with him working with Azimio but It will be unfair for the assembly to pass the chief officer where some of them have integrity issues,” he added
