Mudavadi men reap big at the Nairobi county as Akivaga and Nyangweso get chief officers positions.
The Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi presidential campaign strategist Lynette Nyangweso and Nairobi’s Planning boss Patrick Analo have been shortlisted for Nairobi County Chief Officers positions.
Nyangweso who worked at Mudavadi’s presidential campaign secretariat before the ANC leader shelved his ambitions in favour of president William Ruto and Analo who is the deputy director of Planning in the Nairobi City County government are in the race to be the Kenyan capital Chief Officers.
Nyangweso previously worked at the National Treasury as the Economic and research analyst before taking up the political seat at the ANC headquarters.
Kenya’s record 13 times premier league soccer champions AFC Leopards former Secretary General Oscar Igaida and Sande Oyolo father to comedian Ofweneke have also been shortlisted.
Igaida who is the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Nairobi branch chairman Oyolo the Kakamega county coordinator and presidential candidate agent is the father to Sande Bush, best known as Dr. Ofweneke thanks to his Nigerian accent is a comedian and a tv host of an entertainment show dubbed Dr. Ofweneke Tonighte is at the fastest rising television station TV47 after parting ways with KTN where he used to host Thursday Night. Ofweneke is a Songwriter, Actor, and motivational speaker.
Others on the list are the former Embakasi ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Michael Ogada and the 2022 UDA Dagoretti North parliamentary aspirant Gabriel Bukachi Chapia.
The 2017 Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Langata constituency parliamentary loser Oscar Omoke and former Nairobi Central Business District Association (NBDA) chairman Boniface Karimi Nyamu have also been shortlisted.
The outgoing Chief officer of Health Dr Ouma Oluga Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists, and Dentists Union (KMPDU) Secretary General are in the race seeking to get reappointed.
The Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition assistant treasurer Lucy Mworia and two times Embakasi West ODM party nominations aspirant Boash Ogello did not make the cut.
