Fix Haile Sellassie Flyover now T.U.K. students leader Peter Mwangangi tell Governor Kananu.

Comrades at the Technical university of Kenya are not a happy lot. As the heavy rains continue to fall, students welfare and safety has been jeopardized by the delayed contruction of the footbridge linking the university and the CBD.

According to the President of the Technical University Of Kenya ( TUK) Hon. Peter Mwangangi Mani, the situatoon has affected the smooth movement of students thus negatively impacting on their academic performances.

Speaking to www.goodmorningkenyanews, the student leader lamented how their efforts to compel the county government to expedite the construction have fallen on deaf ears.

We do hereby give both the Nairobi Governor Ann Kanunu and the NMS 2 weeks to fix the flyover along Haile Salassie Avenue. We won’t allow to lose Comrades and other noble citizens due to government negligence.Failure to which comrades will take further steps to compel the relevant agencies to fix it” said T.U.K president Peter Mwangangi.

Prevention is better than cure….

The flyover has been ignored for more than a year now since it’s closure. Our students and public continue hopping across the road like wild grashopers.

We as student leaders have decided to prevent the accident instead of waiting untill it happens for us to take action. We believe prevention is better than cure

The students leader further decried the sorry state of the pathway along the Haile Selassie Avenue which  students use saying it  is unpleasantly dusty during dry seasons and pathetically muddy during rainy season as it is the case now.

“We continue urging our good willed comrades and with good motive to continue reminding the @NMS_Kenya and the governor Nairobi to take action before the students turn wild and close the road soon to prevent further accidents” added Mwangangi.

It is Risky for us! It is even riskier for motorists during traffic jam. What if the remains of the footbridge fall off. What kind of a loss will we experience as a country.?quiped Mr Mwangangi.

It will be so funny for us to wait for an accident for us to act.

Peter Mwangangi Mani
President TU-K
