March 14th, 2022:

The Devolution Empowerment Party (BUS party) Mount Kenya East regional coordinator Lucy Mworia yesterday met with aspirants of various seats in Kirinyaga County in a tour aimed at popularising the party and Azimio Lau Umoja coalition in the Mount Kenya East region.

The Isiolo North parliamentary candidate held meetings with representatives of teachers, leaders in the transport sector led by officials of Matatu saccos and sections of the public as she sought to take the Bus message outside Meru county.

Speaking, Mworia said that her interactions with the people of Kirinyaga had indicated that Kirinyaga had embraced the Bus party and as the party of choice in Mount Kenya East.
“Today, I came to popularise the Bus party and Azimio la Umoja in Kirinyaga and they have embraced the party. This is the direction that Mount Kenya East region is taking in order to get to government,” Mworia said.

Mworia, a former Ms President Reality TV Show contestant and women activist called on residents of Kirinyaga to join and support the Bus Party, which is led by Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi and join the Azimio la Umoja bandwagon that has ODM leader Raila Odinga as the Presidential candidate.

According to Mworia, the Bus party agenda is to bring resources and good leadership to the people and she said that putting money in the pockets of people will be a key agenda for the party and Azimio la Umoja as we head to the August 9, 2022 polls.

Bus party she said is the ticket through which the Mount Kenya East region will use to get to the Azimio la Umoja government come August.

“The people of Kirinyaga want to be in government and everyone who had any iota of doubt over who will form the next government saw it on Saturday during the Azimio rally in Jacaranda grounds in Nairobi that Raila Odinga will be Kenya’s next President and Kirinyaga will be in it,” She said.

Mworia said that her party was a champion for devolution and intimated that under the Azimio la Umoja, devolved units will have more resources.

“Our party Bus and the Azimio coalition are steadfast in championing for devolution. We want to have stronger devolved units with more money at the county level for more development at the grassroots,” Mworia said.

“Another agenda in the Bus party is to protect the interests of women, children youth and People living with disabilities. The Bus party is championing to have good policies that will protect women and their children,” Mworia noted.

Calling on the people of Kirinyaga to join the party, Mworia said that the elusive two thirds gender rule will be actualised by the AzimioLa Umoja government.

“I call on the people of Kirinyaga to join the Bus party as the partyof choice in the region. I know Kirinyaga people was to be in government and it is evident that Azimio will form the next government,” She said.
