Natembeya and Chris Wamalwa face off for Transnzoia governorship

Rift Valley Regional coordinator George Natembeya who has  declared his interest in the Trans Nzoia gubernatorial seat come 2022 general elections traded barbs with Kiminini Mp Chris Wamalwa over the weekend.

During the burial of celebrated politician Orie Rogo Manduli, the two came face to face and exchanged bitterly.

It is however Wamalwa who went for Natembeya’s jagular forcing the regional boss to return a hand.

“We all know Natembeya is Eugine Wamalwa’s project, I want to urge my people to remain calm knowing very well that at the right time, we shall deal with this project” Wamalwa said as Natembeya watched pensively.

The MP further stated that it is the electorate who will vote for the next governor of the county and not CS Wamalwa.
In a swift rejoinder, Natembeya dared Wamalwa to step down from his position as MP and face him on the ballot for the governorship quickly pointing that he would also resign from his post as Regional Commissioner.

It is not right for you to have campaigned from 2017 but when fellow men step in the race, you begin acting up,” Natembeya fired back.

The Rift-Valley Regional Commissioner (RC)further linked Wamalwa’s candidature to FORD Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula, claiming Wamalwa was freely handed the party’s ticket when vying for the MP’s seat.

You are Wetangula’s project..

On the project tag, Natembeya said that it is Chris Wamalwa who is a project of Ford Kenyas party boss and therefore he should not call him a project.

He is saying I am project and Wetangula is leading him by the hand. So who is the project? Is he not a project too?” Natembeya posed.

The RC further ruled out Wamalwa’s candidature stating that the Kiminini MP is not originally from the region
