Duale under attack for calling chief kadhi stupid.

Former National Assembly majority leader Garissa Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale has come under sharp criticism following his derogatory remarks he was heard uttering towards the Chief Kadhi of Mombasa.

Duale, who in the video clip circulating online is heard insulting the Kadhi has caused a stir online with a section of Kenyans questioning his leadership skills.

Aden Duale you are on record here attacking Mombasa Chief Kadhi and insulting the people of Mombasa but what do you have to show,” wrote Alinoor Abdi from Nairobi.

After 15 years in the parliament, Duale has been accused of having nothing much to show for it. His following in Garissa Township has now reportedly been on a downward spiral and is now diminished.

He is said to be looking for relevance to stay afloat politically.

He has also been accused of hypocrisy. Alinoor recalls that as the leader of Majority in the house, Duale pushed and passed the “Patriot Act” or Anti – Terror law, which is believed to have victimized many innocent Muslims, yet in hindsight, Duale now wants to champion an “anti-extra -judicial killing” campaign in Deputy President William Ruto’s ‘presidency’ to appease his diminished electoral base without apologizing for the innocent deaths and disappearances. What a hypocrite!

According to political analysts, UDA has been seen as Anti- Islam, this after Ruto was captured in the media and is on record as having publicly stated that Kenya is a Christian country. Ruto also campaigned against the ceremonial Kadhi’s court in the 2010 referendum. “If Duale purports to be the Somali and Muslim leader, how does he reconcile supporting Ruto with championing the rights of Somalis and Muslims?” political analyst Erick Ayodi poses.

Duale, a senior political leader in UDA and the Deputy Presidents inner circles, has been seen, according to analysts as an unstable and disagreeable man. He campaigned for the first Garissa Governor and dumped him right after election in 2014, and begun to support the Second one, only to decamp him again in 2018.
