ODM Plan to Paint Musalia Mudavadi weak candidate, a Ruto man to win sympathy from Luhya’s.
ODM Leaders have finally decided to unleash propaganda on the son of Mudamba. In meetings that have been going on in Kisumu and Nairobi, it was agreed that former Vice President Musalia Mudavadi had convinced a larger section of the western vote and it was impacting negatively on ODM.
The ODM Leadership is worried that if they don’t cut Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC influence in Western then ODM will lose a huge chunk of votes in 2022.
Hon Musalia Mudavadi is adamant that he will be on the ballot, he insists that he will not be second fiddle to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Utterances from Bungoma Governor echoed what was discussed in a recent meeting held at Acacia Hotel in Kisumu. In that meeting that was attended by ODM Secretary Edwin Sifuna, Rebel ANC Nominated MP Hon. Osotsi, Kakamega Governor Wycliff Oparanya and Hon. Benjamin Jomo Washiali.
Speaking in Maraka, Webuye East constituency, Wangamati said Mudavadi is a poor mobiliser and can’t marshall the needed votes that can propel him to State House in 2022.
“I pity some leaders, the likes of Mudavadi, if you can’t mobilise the Western region to rally behind you, how can you mobilise residents of other regions? You must first lock your region before proceeding to other regions,” he said.
Wangamati averred that Mudavadi has only visited Bungoma county thrice and has not even contributed to any development in the region, not even fundraising for mama mbogas.
“Somebody has made a huge impact in Bungoma, the likes of the Deputy President William Ruto, Mudavadi is not even known beyond his Vihiga backyard, let him not waste his resources on the campaign trail because he has no support,” he said.
It was also agreed that two of Musalia’s urdent supporters, the senators Kakamega county and Nairobi needed to be cut to size. In messages going round on social media sponsored by ODM bloggers the two are branded as Deputy President William Ruto’s soldiers who are influencing MM to be part of UDA’s coalition partners.
It was also agreed that MM should be not be featured in newspapers as a strong candidate for the 2022 Presidential elections. In recent headlines, a newspaper claimed that Kirinyaga Governor will be Musalia Mudavadi’s Deputy yet nothing like that is in the offing. The narrative is to have Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Deputy William Ruto as the only two horses running for the 2022 presidency.
In the meeting Governor Oparanya was bestowed the honors of sponsoring attacks on Musalia and checkmate him as his equal.
A few weeks ago Musalia Mudavadi and his OKA principals complained bitterly about the Nation Media bias towards OKA.
A headline that ran on the Daily Nation which was sponsored by ODM, had indicated that Musalia Mudavadi and OKA will fully support Raila Odinga.
Musalia Mudavadi had to rubish the reports that they had agreed to support ODM leader Raila Odinga in next year’s presidential election.
The principals also castigated the media and in particular the Daily Nation on what they termed as ‘false reporting’.
In some quarters Hon. Osotsi has come out claiming senator Malala is a UDA mole. While Makadara MP Aladwa unleashed a barrel of salvos claiming Nairobi Senator Sakaja is a Kalenjin from Sabaot who was working to disfranchise the Luhya community.
A secret poll that was done by a company hired by ODM found out that Musalia was leading in Kakamega, Vihiga, Transzoia, Bungoma and Slightly in Busia.
