Time up for Vihiga county woman Mp as several aspirants line up to wrestle the seat from Adagala

Barely a year to the next general elections, drums have started beating up in Vihiga county. It now emerges that the incumbent woman Mp Hon Beatrice Adagala is facing a myriad of challenges in her quest to defend her seat.
The current Woman Mp is serving her first time having tried her hand in elective politics in 2013 on UDF.In 2013 she was trounced by ODMs Hon Kedogo. However her redemption came in 2017 when she ran on ANC and won. Pundits attribute her win to her closeness to the ANC leader Hon Musalia Mudavadi and the fact that her erstwile opponent Hon Kedogo opted not to defend the seat but run for Vihiga Mp losing to ANC’s. Hon Kagesi.
Teachers and a banker all line up to wrestle the seat from Hon Adagala.
The woman Mp seat in Vihiga has attracted several women of high standing in Vihiga county. This is promising to be an epic battle
Mwalimu Kevina Oriedo.
Madam Kevina Oriedo or simply Mwalimu as she is fondly called has been traversing the vast county endearing herself to the electorates.
Mwalimu the author and career teacher
Madam Kevina has participated in several local and international education programmes that have made her best equiped in dispensing her duties as a teacher.
As an author with Kenya Literature Bureau (KLB), Mwalimu Kevina has positively engaged in authoring several books that suit the ever changing educational environment. She is blessed to have been at the helm of a school that has been a center of excellence when it comes to national exams.

Having been brought up by a strictly religious family Madam Kevina draws her stength in the Lord by reading the bible always.
“My grandpa was the first African Catholic catechist in Erusui and Eregi parish. I believe he is the one who laid the strong Christian foundation in our family something we still hold on dearly” said Mwalimu Kevina.
Road to Politics.
“My grand father retired having served as a catechist from Erusui and Eregi parishes ran for a ward seat and won. His son ‘my dad resigned a few years to his retirement age as a teacher, ran for a ward seat in Eregi on Kanu ticket and won. He went on to represent the area for two terms.
“Nothing comes from nothing” continues Mwalimu Kevina, “I developed the interest and thirst to serve after having actively participated in my father’s campaign activities drumming u p support for him and the then president Mzee Moi.
Genuine, Collective leadership approach for all.
“The quality of our women and youths is a direct reflection of our leaders” Mwalimu Kevina.
Having served as a teacher all over the country and currently in Nairobi, Madam Kevina has mentored several young teachers besides helping many get teaching jobs using her vast networks in the education circles.
Mwalimu Kevina believes true leadership is only achieved when lives have been transformed for the best.

Madam Winnie Majani a banker is set and ready to roar. Will she upset the ibcumbent? Time will tell.
Others in the race include Jackline Bagada, Jackline Mwenesi and Ruth Bukachi.
Both Bagada and Mwenesi are teachers.
