Muloma Foundation put a smile on faces of Kayole Childrens Home.

On Sunday, Nazarene childrens home in Kayole Nairobi received a rare visitor. Miss Clarice Muloma the founder and Ceo of Muloma foundation an NGO that concerns itself with the wellbeing of young boys and girls visited the area and enjoyed lunch with the children besides donating foodstuffs.

“We decided to create time and spend with these young ones to show them love and encourage the care givers to keep on doing what they are doing for the young ones. Covid 19 pandemic has made life for many childrens homes around the country quite hard and therefore it is our responsibility to try and do something in the spirit of humanity” miss Clarice Imali said.

The Sunday visit left the kids happy and yearning for more as Muloma foundation team freely mingled with the children at the home showing them the much needed love.

“We are so grateful for the visit by Muloma Foundation and team, whenever people find time to visit us we feel re energized to keep on doing all that we can to help these kids” the home director said.

Nazarene childrens home in the sprawling Kayole slums is a home for over 100 children who are either orphans or destitute children from failed marriages. The home provides shelter and education to the kids. To run the home, the director and her team of staff depend on well wishers to make ends meet.

Muloma Foundation under Miss Claris Imali besides donating some foodstuff, helping in cleaning and cooking and serving the food to the children has also promised to help mobilize resources to help buy books and study material for the
“This will not be our last visit and engagement with you, we have now become a family and we shall try our level best and help where we can especially in ensuring that the children here get  education” Claris said

Muloma foundation has been engaging young girls across the country on matters to do with menstrual hygiene and general well being of the girl child in so far as matters education are concerned.

Muloma foundation is currently mobilising resources to put up a community library in Chavakali area of Vihiga county.

“As a teacher by proffession, God has placed a burden on my heart to try and help school going kids achieve education hence my dream of wanting to put up a community library in Chavakali. I know it can be done” Claris asserts.
