Raila is not a smart politician, like all politicians who came before him and made it to state house, Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila cannot make it in 2022 unless he plays a Kibaki or Uhuru card. But looking at him in his frail years, it’snt a closed secret that the old man from Bondo has something hiding in him that is so tsunamic to scare his opponents.

Uhuru won Raila as a political trophy and in that breath, Raila lost political diamondism he enjoyed across his perceived political bases. Since publicly declaring on the stairs of Harambee house on 9th March 2018, that he had implicitly joined Jubilee and subsequently shook hands with Uhuru, Odinga took on the troubles *Jubilee had caused the country for the last 9 years. Nothing can separate Raila, Uhuru and Ruto from Jubilee trajedy.

He birthed himself in the jubilee dirty waters, painted himself in jubilee colours. Colours that are synonymous with failure, corruption and theft of public resources. History will record that Uhuru trapped RAILA and nabbed him. The much talked about 9 points agenda, being the byproducts of their handshake, will not be remembered by historians. The self declared opposition leader sold out and was pacified by undisclosed cents from the ruling men.

The poitical blunder by Raila is so huge and bluntly has on itself and on himself irreducible political efrects in the sense that, it caused him to fall out with his key allies, leaders who had sacrifed their political ambitions for him to become the best among equals. He betrayed and mutilated trust. Blind as a rubber bullet, the former opposition leader, went a head to renegade on many of the important rules of engagement Nasa inscribed in the coalition agreement as a protect gear among coalition partners.

For instance, Nasa being the minority coalition party in the house, together they were supposed to share revenue from political parties fund, but ODM being a greedy and short sighted party, they chose to elbow fellow Nasa parties from these monies. The selfish mentality exhibited by ODM against its partners has procured a divide between the coalition partners that no mere public sentiments can heal it.

Also there was arrangements on how to divide house committee positions among party partners, but ODM arrogantly gave itself the plum positions and where necessary edged out other partners from their rightful positions. Since these injustices were committed nothing has been right between Raila/ODM and their partners in NASA. His attitude, mental structure and behavioural attractions towards the leaders who lend their shoulders to him in orders for him rise above has not been one of reciprocity. He has over the years, acted as a recipient and not a giver.

So as the clock towards 2022, goes up 12 and down to six, one remains wondering, how will Raila pacify the bitter back yards he has used and abused ? These back yards have leaders. These leaders have a huge following in their areas of control and it will be impossible for Raila to craft a winning force against these leaders. Whether he is on the ballot or not, Raila’s payback time has arrived.

The issue of BBI has stumbled fallen and logically defeated it doesn’t matter however one wants to look at it. Being a craft leader, he has changed tune and the new tune in town is Jubilee/ ODM merger. A sober question will be, why would a serious party like ODM jointly create a coalition with the outgoing government. What informs these acts? Don’t you think Uhuru is doing what Moi did to NDP?

Moi cheated Raila to join Kanu and createed New Kanu, then Moi decided to make Uhuru a flagbear of new Kanu, is this the same scenario the country is waiting to see unfold? Is Uhuru going to dupe Raila just as MOI did? Critical thinkers and historians will be able to provide leadership and insight here. But going by infirm decisions by the former opposition leader, all indications are clear, 2022, Raila will not be the president of Kenya and he will not be the leader of opposition, that’s if Dr. William Ruto will become number 2 in the 2022 contest.
