Who will ODM field to replace Simba Arati in Dagoretti North?

Elachi ,Oenga, Bosibori in a tight race for ODM ticket in Dagoretti North.

The race for Dagoretti North ODM ticket has reached fever pitch barely 4 days to the party primaries.

The seat has attracted five  aspirants who have been traversing the constituency selling their manifesto.

In an attempt to solve the two third gender rule, the seat has attracted 3 women aspirants with only two men to make it five who will be squaring it up on 21st.

The immidiate CAS Hon Beatrice Elachi will be making her second attempt albeit on an ODM ticket. Her first bid on Jubilee in 2017 was cut short after Simba Arati of ODM trounced her. However Elachi boasts of goodwill from the locals who see her as an ordinary resident who understands their daily struggles.

Elachi is one of us, she has been coming through whenever we have issues in the area. She  is well placed to ably represent us and fill the gap left by Simba Arati who is now the Kisii governor designate” said Kiarie.

On her part, Elachi or Mama Dago as she is fondly called said that she is ready to bring about real change in Dagoretti North.

Most issues our people face here in DN can be solved through legislation in the national assembly which going by my past experience as a senator and a speaker I believe Iam upto the task ahead” Elachi said.

Elachi further promises to curb insecurity and improve the road network in the area.

On his part, Elijah Getui Oenga a new comer in the race has also managed to excite the masses whenever he goes.

Nicknamed “Ndovu kubwa” by Dagorettians, Oenga has managed to capture the imaginations of especially the youth who identify with his brand of politics.

The bold, articulative and straight talking Oenga has promised not only to ensure bursaries are available but will go a step further and issue scholarships to the bright and needy students.

Bursaries can never be our only option if we want to ensure quality education standards among our children. Under my leadership, I will ensure no children stays at home due to lack of fees. To do this I will introduce a  scholarship fund so that no child drops out of school due to lack of fees”  says Oenga.

Oenga is campaigning on the platform of a united Dagoretti North devoid of tribalism or any other form of exclusion. Oenga boasts of great mobilisation skills after serving in the Youth for Raila in the NASA secretariate.

NORAH BOSIBORI.
Urguably the youngest of all the aspirants, Norah Bosibori or simply Bosi wa Dago has left a mark much to the envy of the youth who swam around her whenever she huts the ground.

Bosibori has been traversing all the 5 wards selling her manifesto. A firm believer in the democratic process and a staunch supporter of Raila Odinga, Bosibori believes everything is possible as long as you are in motion.

If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” Martin Luther King Jr. She quotes.

Bosibori believes that Dagoretti North is lagging behind due to our peoples inability to dream big and work hard towards it.

The power of a movement lies in the fact that you can change the habits of people. That change is not as a result of force, but of dedication and moral persuasion.
My commitment to serve the people of Dagoretti North Constituency remains solid

Democracy is not achievable if  we don’t take time to interact with and listen to the people.
