Aladwa fit for Vihiga county governorship -Vihiga MP Hon Kagesi and Clement Sloya MP Sabatia now declare

Makadara MP Hon George Aladwa intensified his meet the people tour in Vihiga county even as he continued to popularize his candidature for Vihiga governorship in 2027.

Over the weekend, Aladwa traversed the two constituencies of Vihiga and Sabatia.

While at Visiru ADC church, Hon Aladwa while in the company of area MP Hon Kagesi and his Sabatia counterpart, Aladwa urged the church to be at the fore in not only preparing the congregation to meet Christ but to actively engage in community projects aimed at improving lives.

“ADC church is amongst the African Indigenous churches that have immensely impacted our people here in Vihiga. Whereas the church has its doctrine of leading people to Christ, I want to challenge you to engage in community based projects and indulge us to see how we can plug in and help further the course. I also beseech you to pray with me as I journey towards becoming your governor once Dr Ottichilo retires in 2027″ said Aladwa.

The Vihiga gubernatorial hopeful received rare endorsements from area MP Hon Kagesi who urged the church to mobiluze their members across Vihiga county to vote in Aladwa as governor.

“I serve in the national assembly with my brother Aladwa. I have no doubt in my mind that he will be a good governor for our county. Our political affiliations  not withstanding, I wish him all the best in his journey of succeeding Governor Ottichilo ‘ said Kagesi.

His Sabatia counterpart Hon Clement Sloya also of Kenya Kwanza too heaped praises on Hon Aladwa describing him as a bold leader who can move Vihiga to the next level.

“Hon Aladwa has achieved alot in Nairobi. We all know he was the city’s last mayor. Mayors have since been replaced by governors which means Aladwa is capable of working as a governor. Vihigans should consider his candidature as we march towards 2027” Sloya said.

Hon Aladwa who is currently the ODM county chairman is expected to square it out with Omboko Milemba of ANC, former senator George Khaniri and Women rep Hon Adagala and Ford Kenya’s Kidake Alex who have all declared interest in the seat.

However Vihiga senator Hon Godfrey Osotsi is also seen as a very formidable contender should he throw his hat in the ring.

Many pundits believe that should Maragolis from more than 3 candidates as has been their norm, then the seat will once again escape them
