The formation of ANC party under the sound leaders of Hon Musalia Mudavadi promised so many great things thanks to the gentle and accomodative nature of its leadership. Over 7 years since the party came into being, two election cycles have lapsed with the party not living to its billing.
It is against this backdrop that news of imminent arrival of former Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko is bringing extreme excitement to the party.
In 2017 General election the New Kid without enough resources garnerd 17 Constituencies and over 50 wards including a Senator and a Woman Representative.This party missed by a Wisp to become a parliamentary party. With transitions in different capacity in the National Management Committee the Glory and the Shine of ANC is becoming dimmer and soon the lights in the Party will be switched off unless urgent remedial measures are undertaken.
The policy papers of ANC are more often than not discussed on Changamka and other social media forums and dumped in Office files. This is a party with only Main office in Nairobi and dozens of unused rooms called ” Offices ” scattered in tiny towns across the country. Our outgoing chair Kelvin Lunani has never lead the party in positioning itself for member recruitment drives and building and rebuilding the party in his capacity. He always complains of not being able to run the party with resources.
This begs the Question, why do you insists on being on the top and doing Nothing? Mr Outgoing Chair, we either agree or disagree but your Usefulness has come to an end. We need soldiers who can push the party back to its lost glory and position it for 2032.
The Rt Hon Musalia Mudavadi has made it clear in 2027 that we must support the President in his re-election bid but as Members and Soldiers of Hon Musalia Mudavadi ,we must build his Party for 2032. This calls for the Moment to hasten the process of nominating Mike Mbuvi Sonko as our National Chair
This Begs the question what is the Problem? Our research team has noted of frequent complaints on party management and lack of capacities in the individuals running the party.Most of ANC national officials have never tasted the blade of the ballot or if they have ever tasted the results doesn’t reflect the position they hold. Sad!
Most of the members have pointed the figures to the National Chairperson for not building and guiding the party in a direction that will make the party compete with other optical players in the same space.
