WHO NEGOTIATES FOR AFC LEOPARDS SC: Why would AFC receive less money from same sponsor they share with Gor? Just like sportpesa, same raw deal.

A company that has not entered into the Kenyan gambling industry has singed an agreement with AFC and Gor as it main sponsors. A look at their website that is not yet to be functional for staking and putters a message reads:
(We are proud to be supporting Kenya’s top football clubs – Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards SC )

We will be launching in Kenya soon and our top priority is to support community football.

Being a responsible gaming brand since the very beginning we aim to bring more engagement and excitement together with two of Kenya’s leading football clubs in the near future.

While sponsorship is welcome I take concern with who negotiates for AFC leopards Sc. In the last sponsorship with sportpesa, the negotiator wasn’t a leaders of AFC leopards SC.

This was made clear by the amount that was placed on AFC and the amount that was given to Gor. In terms of brand visibility, I dont want to argue like a layman that Gor will give the sponsor more visibility than AFC leopards Sc.

Why would AFC and Gor share a sponsor and in the end, Gor ends up with big amount than AFC leopards SC. Does it mean that, at any given time, whoever will negotiate will give Gor more and AFC less? What criteria is always used to devalue leopards against Gor?

Is Gor getting a huge share because of tittles or because it has huge recurring expenditure? Looking at our local scene, I don’t think Gor deserves more money from a sponsor who also sponsors AFC leopards Sc at the same time.

If the negotiator has a Gor leaning trappings then i will understand the predicament the biggest club in East and Central Africa finds itself in. AFC deserves equal money just like Gor and this madness of giving AFC less money doesn’t add up.

Whoever negotiated this contract should remember AFC is not a junior team to Gor. AFC should in future not share any sponsorship with Gor, because whoever bring the sponsor decides for AFC yet that should not be the case.

Anyway lets welcome Besafe in the den and hope they will review the package they have given to leopards. AFC will give them more visibility and value for their money.
