Chapia Chapia Foundation inspiring hope amid covid 19 pandemic by Distributing water to fellow ‘hustlers‘

The last four months have been tough especially to those living in low income areas. The sudden closure of work places has brought untold suffering to many.
One dedicated leader has set out to do something in his small ways to touch lives. Richard Bukachi Chapia Chapia is touching lives in the sprawling Kawangware slums.

Water is so essential that we decided to make it part of our priority” Chapia Chapia says

Chapia Chapia who prides himself as a son of a village school teacher and a hustler by extension is not new to Dagoretti North residents.

Chapia Chapia vied in 2013 during Odm party  primaries and narrowly lost to Hon Simba Arati who went on to win the seat on Odm.

As a true hustler, he never gave up and in 2017 he vied for Odm ticket for Nairobi senatorship which he won but was unceremoniously short changed and the ticket given to Edwin Sifuna who had lost in Kanduyi.
Chapia Chapia then fell out with Odm and openly campaigned for Sakaja who later won on Jubilee party.
This is how he discovered his hustler traits and the march still goes on.

“Iam not just a politician but also a guy who has hustled alot here in Kawangware. When W.H.O said that one of the best ways to combat covid 19 was by washing hands, I remembered my brothers and sisters who to them water is a precious commodity yet hard to get thanks to Covid 19 shutdown of our economy. Using my foundation(Chapia Chapia foundation) we have been distributing water aftter every two days in Dagoretti North for free” Chapia Chapia said.

We further requested to know his political future and inclinations and his close ties with the DP and he said.

“Iam a born leader, politician and a hustler for that matter. The Dp is my friend and I closely work with him. Ruto supports hustlers and he knows just like many of us what it means to go hungry. And by the way do you know that Ruto once stayed here at Coast area of Kawangware? Well now you know.In 2022  I will be in the ring but charity begins at home hence my desire to serve my Dagoretti people first during this hard times of covid 19” added Chapia Chapia.
