Residents of Joska village, Matungulu Sub-County in Machakos County are now living in fear after a husband chopped off the heads of his wife and an 11 yr old son.
According to police the 26 year-old Jackline Jared together with her 11 year-old Amos Jared were found dead on Friday, June 12, inside their house.
According to a police OB report filed at KBC police station, Joska police post, villagers suspect that Jared Ochichi Onsongo who is the husband to Jackline committed the henios act.
However, police are yet to establish what led Jared to kill his wife and son since their neighbours say Jared and his wife have been living happily.
“It has been reported by good samaritans that they suspected one Jackline Jared a Kisii female adult agede about 26 together with her son Amos Jared aged 11 both to have been murdered,” police said in a statement
Police officers rushed to the scene and upon arrival they found the body of Jackline lying naked on the bed while the body of the boy outside the house dumped in a 50 litre plastic water container,” police said.
Police managed to arrest the suspect and recovered weapons suspected to have been used in the murder.
Detectives from the Director of Criminal Investigation have commenced investigations into the matter and they will arraign the suspect once the investigation are done.
