Nairobi governor aspirant Ngatia returns nomination papers to Jubilee

Nairobi, Friday 18th March, 2022: It is now official. Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) president Richard Ngatia is in the race to be the next governor of Nairobi city county, this after the business mogul today presented his nomination papers to Jubilee party ahead of the party nominations which are scheduled for April.

Ngatia romped into Jubilee Party headquarters at Pangani interchange accompanied by over 2000 supporters drawn from all the 17 constituencies in Nairobi and returned his duly filled nomination papers.
After careful perusal, Jubilee party gave him a clean bill of health to officially join the race to clinch the party ticket settling the dust on the storm that his critics had raised over his qualifications.
Ngatia told off his opponents who doubted his qualifications saying that his ability to lead is immense and his desire to offer service to the people of Nairobi is unstoppable.

Today I presented my Nomination Papers at Jubilee Party Headquarters. Asante Nairobi. I am qualified to run for any seat in this country,” a vibrant Ngatia said.
“We are clean, we are ready, and we are Nairobi. It is Ngatia Richard, it is Jubilee, it is Azimio,” Ngatia wrote on his official twitter handle
.


“This puts to rest the malicious propaganda that was being spread by my competitors that I don’t qualify. I am telling them that Richard Ngatia has stormed Jubilee Party headquarters with over 2000 supporters and has presented his qualification papers which were accepted and we are now going to face off in the campaign trail man to man,” Ngatia told supporters.
His nomination today served to show to the world that he has the capacity and qualifications to lead Nairobi City County.
Ngatia, who has lead in nearly all opinion polls conducted on the preferred candidate for Nairobi governor is the first candidate for governor to present his papers to seek party nominations ahead of the April party nominations.
The Chamber of commerce boss has now set the ground for grueling campaigns to win the Jubilee nod and claim the Azimio La Umoja coalition ticket. According to reports, the Azimio la Umoja coalition is crafting a power sharing formula where in exchange to supporting Raila Odinga for President; Jubilee will get the Nairobi gubernatorial seat while ODM will produce the deputy governor.
Ngatia has been on an aggressive campaign trail in the city earning him the tag of the man to beat in the August 9th general elections.
The business magnate has anchored his campaigns on an economic empowerment pedestal especially endearing himself to the small scale traders and operators of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) who see him as a fellow business person who has the acumen in business that can be emulated. As well, he has fashioned himself as the man who revive the business environment within the city.


“The error of Gikomba market fires is gone, all traders are equal, all businesses are important and every Nairobian matters. We will do markets, we will do sanitary facilities, we will do Nairobi,” Ngatia affirmed
