Vihiga county 2027 gubernatorial hopeful Hon George Aladwa has challenged the residents of Vihiga county to shun divisive clan politics and instead work together.

Speaking in Emabungo ACK church in  Luanda constituency on Saturday, Aladwa said that Vihiga county can move better only if all the players worked together towards a common goal of serving the electorates.

While taking issue with Ombima who had earlier spoken during the event and was seen us urging the locals to rally behind Hon Milemba of ANC for the top county seat,  Aladwa wondered how one can be elected to serve an entire county only on the basis of his or her sub clan.

Iam disturbed by the ‘mbenga mumoni”( look me in the eye’) type of politics being propagated here. We are all Vihigans and we are seeking to serve this great county based on our ability and track record. You all know that I  Aladwa has been a mayor of the biggest city in East  and central Africa-Nairobi. My track record is clear both as Mayor and MP. It is therefore backward and insane for one to seek to lead this county on the basis of his clan all in the name of ‘benga mumoni” lamented Aladwa.

Aladwa further reminded the faithful that he is ready and willing to serve Vihiga county once Governor  Otichilo retires in 2027

I have declared my intentions to serve you qs governor in 2027. My vision for Vijiga is clear, Improve cottage industries, Improve  health, and open up Vihiga as a nerve center for trade. To achieve this and many more, we must work together as one people.I will traverse the entire county selling my agend without fear” added Aladwa.

Other members who attended the event include Vihiga Sen Godfrey Osotsi, Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna and area MP Dick Maungu.

Today, I fellowshipped with the faithful of Givogi P.A.G.Church, Banja ward ,Hamisi sub-County.

I highlighted my main agendas: Education, industrialisation and  health as the next governor of Vihiga County .I also urged the church leaders to maintain peace in the upcoming church election.
