Cleophas Malala saves deputy Minority leaders position by meeting Raila at Capital hill.

After mocking Cleophas Malala yesterday it is now emerging that former Prime minister has coerced the Kakamega Senator to beat an about turn on his stand on revenue sharing formula. It was give and take at Capital Hill as Malala was told to support the formula or he looses his position in the Senate the sources says.

The revenue sharing formula is one pillar on which the BBI document is standing on. You will recall, Irungu Kangata once said that, ” if you do not support one shilling one man one vote there will be no BBI.” BBI is Raila’s pet project and he believes is the last bullet before he retires from active politics, and that being the case, Mount Kenya mafias have told him to deliver revenue sharing formula or forget about BBI.

Cleophas Malala has recent been a staunch op-posers of the RSF. His stand together with other Senators has delayed the the implementation of the formula. While speaking in a lowkey ODM event in Kakamega, the former prime minister insinuated that the Kakamega Senator was bribed to oppose the formula despite his county receiving more money when the formula is passed.

Raila’s claims shocked many poeple who believed in the former prime minister’s stands on national issue. The former prime minster looked like a man under pressure because the Kakamega region doesnt seem to be keen on his support come 2022.

The ODM party has lost ground and dominance on the region and that doesn’t seem to make the ODM leader happy. He went on to call other political parties in the region Madoa doa. This statement has left political pundits wondering and questioning the ODM leader’s stand on independence of political parties and their role in democracy in the country.
