Ingwe fans heap blame at the doorstep of club treasurer Oliver Napali

With Afc leopards yet to rediscover its claws  this season, disquiet is brewing among its loyal  supporters.

On 7th October, Ingwe hosted its arch rivals in what is dubbed the Mashemeji derby. Apart from the mammoths  crowd in blue and red jersies, Ingwe could not show up for the party in the derby. Fans left Moi Sports Center Kasarani in tears as Gor fans left in a carnivore mood. This season alone, Ingwe has failed to register a win and now sits precariously at 17th  position. Should nothing change, Ingwe will for the second time be relegated to the championships something that Ingwe diehards will find hard to stomach.

Shikanda cracks the whip on the T.B.

Club president  Dr Dan Shikanda has been compelled by lack of positive results to send the club coach Tom Juma, goal keeper trainer Lawrence Webo parking. Ingwe managed a draw against the newly promoted Shabana FC which left the fans cursing.

Club treasurer Oliver Napali is the weakest link in the NEC….

As the club continued posting dismal results, a section of Ingwe fans from several branches led by city hall branch have threatened to send club treasurer parking.

Mr Oliver Napali who is serving his second stint as club treasurer has been accussed of dictatorial tenderncies and aloofness.

According to club members who did not wish to be named , Mr Napali has been running the finance docket like a personal property without the indulgence of other nec members.

“Napali has zero regards to both the club chairman Dr Shikanda and the SG Gilbert Andugu. He is running the show as if Ingwe is his personal property. Napali is to blame for the poor implimentation of the E ticketing where the club has failed to collect maximum cash from the past two matches. Whenever members raise issues with him, he becomes arrogant, abusive and exhibits an I dont care attitude that has nevwr been seen before in AFC leopards” a member lamented.

Leading from the front, City square branch are planning a demo against the treasuerer to force him out.

During Mashemeji derby, Mr Napali hired goons from Makadara with clear instructions to deal with anybody who dared question his handling of matters at the den. It is against this backdrop that as a branch, we shall march to his work station in Embakasi and compel him to resign. We cannot allow a person we elected to hold a position in trust to grow horns to apoint of endangering our members. The march is on next week on Wednesday and we shall be demanding his resignation” added a disgruntled member of city hall branch.

Napali is further being accused of sowing seeds of disunity amongst different branches and NeC members.

"Napali has messed up not only the unity at NEC but also he has orchestrated disharmony among several branches which is threatening the core foundation of AFC leopards"

Holding demos against serving nec members is not new in AFC leopards. The late former chairman  Alex Ole Magelo while serving at city hall encountered demos which eventually forced him out. Former Organising treasurer Timothy Lilumbi was also hounded out of office when irate members of AFC demonstrated at his office along Ngong road.

It remains a wait and see over the impending demo against Mr Napali.

In other news, Mr Suleiman Angulu has requested the club SG to convine an urgent SGM to discuss matters ailing the club. Mr Angulu a former member of the IMC is perturbed  by the dwindling fortunes of the club which has prompted him to demand a session be held soonest.
