Bro,Isaac Andabwa KNPSWU : As Workers of this nation, we demand an apology from Kabatesi over the remarks he made on our SG Dr Atwoli

Following a statement by Kibisu Kabatesi the private press secretary to ANC boss Musalia Mudavadi, in which he called Atwoli a political broker, calls for him to apologize continue pouring in.

Speaking at his Walinzi house offices in Nairobi, the Kenya National Private Security Workers Union boss bro Isaac GM Andabwa has added his voice on the raging debate.

Mr Andabwa questioned Kabtesi’s intent in his attack on the Cotu boss who is a respected trade unionist globally.

Dr Atwoli Cotu boss.

“The attack by Kabatesi on the celebrated trade unionist Dr Francis Atwoli is uncalled for, uncouth and lacks the hallmark of what a press secreatary to a presidential hopeful and luhya sposkesman . What Atwoli has achieved from the age of 25yrs  as a trade unionist to date deserve respect. It is therefore wrong for Kabatesi to pour cold water on it” Andabwa said.

While reacting to a viral video by Emmanuel Buchichi Anc youth leader in Kakamega county, Mr Andabwa wondered how low our young men have sunk.

“Some young men are just a disgrace not only to the Mulembe nation but to the nation as a whole. Some just get out of their busaa and chang’aa dens and start hurling insults on Dr Atwoli. Do they really know who Dr Atwoli is? As luhyas we should be proud of what Atwoli has achieved instead of insulting him. Na kweli nabii hana heshima kwao! This very person you disrespect commands international respect with offices in Brussels, Ghana, Ethiopia etc. We must respect him.”

COTU affiliates are agrieved by Kabatesi’s verbal vitriol on Dr Atwoli.

Cotu affiliates that numbers about 43 unions and controll over 4M workers have also taken Kabtesi’s utterrances with a heavy heart.

“,We in the trade union sector are not amused by Kabatesi’s rants all over the social media. We control huge numbers that can be turned into votes for Mudavadi’s advantage. When Kabatesi is disrepecting our boss, how then is he expecting us to mobilize votes for his boss Hon Mudavadi?” Quiped Andabwa.

Atwoli was right in calling for Anc and Ford Kenya merger.

While echoeing Atwoli’s call to have the two parties led by luhyas to merge, Bro Andabwa said that it was in order for Atwoli to call on the two to merge so that luhyas can have a united approach on national issues.

“We should not lie to ourselves that we have a national command. Both Anc and Ford Kenya should vlose shop and become one to enhance the Mulembe nation’s negotiating power nationally. With only 12 months to next year’s general election, the Mulembe nation should be speaking under one umbrella not as Anc or Ford Kenya. On this I support Elder Atwoli’s call for the merger if the two outfits”added Bro Andabwa.

Did leaders demand 700M from Raila?

On the question of whether leaders demanded 700M from Raila in exchange of support and eventual folding if Anc and FK, Br Andabwa had this to say.

“If indeed 700M was demanded from Raila, it is not upto Kabatesi to respond, Raila and Mudavadi are still and even Atwoli can speak if it. The three leaders can come out clear on it. It is not therefore in Kabatesi’s province to seize the opportunity and start insulting Dr Atwoli” said Andabwa.

Kabatesi is a thorn in the flesh and a major impedement on Mudavadi’s ascendancy to the top seat.

“Kabatesi is singlehandedly spoiling Mudavadi’s chances  of ascending to the top. Whenever he opens his mouth, votes scatter. In his press release, Kabatesi claims that Atwoli was picked fron a road somewhere and made Cotu sg, Someone should tell Kabatesi that Dr Atwoli started his trade union journey at the age of 25 when he and Mudavadi were still in primary school. It is therefore an offence and an insult for him to desparage Atwoli who is a trade unionist of international repute”.
