Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja names Patric Analo as new county secretary.

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has finally appointed Urban and planning chief officer Patrick Analo as the acting County secretary, to replace Jairus Musumba who has been in acting position for the last two years.
This is according to aletter seen by www.goodmorningkenya.com ,Mr Analo’s appointment takes effect immediately

Prior to his appointment as chief officer urban planning, Mr Analo had served in different capacities at city hall before rising to the level of Director urban planning and now acting county secretary.

During a brief hand over ceremony at the county secretary’s office, the outgoing county secretary Dr Jairus Musumba wished Mr Analo all the best as he assumes his new role albeit on temporal basis.

“I leave this docket with my head held high. The task ahead of you my brother is enormous but I can assure you that with the dedicated team here, you will definately succeed.”Dr Musumba said.

Analo’s elevation has been well received by both staff and county MCAs who have all termed him an enthusiastic worker, humble servant and a team player.

Mr Analo’s appointment comes hot on the heels of Nairobi county Assembly’s rejection of Dr Musumba as county secretary.

According to the leader of minority in Nairobi county assemby Hon Peter Anyule Imwatok of Makongeni ward, Dr Musumba did not tick all the boxes to enable his vetting panel clear him as county secretary. The refusal to clear Musumbq almost divided the county assembly as members read malice and political witchunt.

The City Planner and urban manager is a former fellow at the Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation (Norec) and have as well worked at the UN-HABITAT aswell as Practical Action Kenya where he was a strategic planner.
Analo holds a Master’s Degree in Urban Management and Development from the University of Nairobi. He has also studied International environmental law at UNITAR, Environmental Studies/Communication at Makerere University and Urban and Regional Planning at Maseno University
