Governor Ojaamong: CECMs to bite the bullet if they condone staff absenteeism in their departments.

While speaking in Busia, Sospeter Ojaamong said that ” All departments in the County should integrate Covid-19 prevention measures into their work plan to cushion residents against the raging pandemic. Each department should also find ways of implementing Covid-19 programs.”
He further said, ” To underscore the need by my executive to deliver for the people of Busia, I have developed the Governor’s Service Delivery Unit with the Director in charge of Service Delivery, Mr. Shadrack Maloba, and Chief Officer in charge of the same, Mr. Patrice Lumumba.
With a fully-fledged service delivery unit that was not there before, I expect results with quarterly reports and bi-weekly progress reports from departments. Staff members who report late on duty should change their habits, chief officers and directors should intensify the supervision of staff under them.
ICT should introduce a system that will help monitor the staff when they report on duty and when they leave the office; CECMs will be the first to bite the bullet if they condone staff absenteeism in their departments.
