The no nonsense Rashid Yakubo, Policeman who arrested Governor Sonko transferred to Nairobi city to handle disarming of Nairobi MCA’s

Nairobi police boss Philip Ndolo has been demoted and transferred to Kiganjo Police College as the Deputy. Philip Ndolo who was in charge of security in Nairobi was seeing as a hindrance to matters of security in the city.
Some insiders says his sins stem from an association with Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
“Philip Ndolo would leak information to the Governor every time we had intelligence or investigating him on matters of corruption and bringing order at the Nairobi assembly”,~ an officer who didn’t want to be identified said.
From August Nairobi will be secured by Coast police boss Rashid Yakubo who was transferred to Nairobi following a mini reshuffle of top police bosses.
The new Nairobi Police commander first task is to disarm all MCA’s, the CS for Ministry of Interior and Coordination is on record saying most MCA’s hold guns without licenses.
Yakubo was in charge of the operation that arrested Governor Mike Mbuvi who was heading to Mombasa after an arrest warrant was issued on corruption charges by EACC.
Yakubo and Sonko had a scuffle after the Governor refused to be handcuffed.
He later accused Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko of assault. The matter was settled out of court.
Rashid takes over the Nairobi command at a time when the police have had hard time enforcing security at the Nairobi County Assembly.
The mini reshuffle comes barely a day after chaos rocked City Hall with some police offer being spotted harassing MCAs among them, Mlango Kubwa MCA Patricia Mutheu.
