In his much anticipated press briefing, Didimus Barasa has thrown the Tanga Tanga trappings off his shoulders as he announced that he is going for a sabbatical leave for a period of 4 month. The legislator said that during this time, he will not engage in Tanga Tanga affiliated activities but he will mobilize views from his constituents on the possible way out for his community. In his much hyped address to the nation, the Kimilili Mp said that,
“Am going into a 4 month break from partisan politics. In this period, am not going to affiliate to any party or wear their uniform, I am going to take a neutral ground. My biggest task in the four months is to arbitrate and bring together Mlembe Nation leaders so that we have a common voice in the forthcoming general election.” ~Didmus Barasa, MP- Kimilili.
This news has broken the spinal cord of the deputy president because Didimus Barasa has been one of the biggest pillar of the deputy president in the region of western Kenya. His withrawal from Tanga Tanga movement leaves alot of begging questions on the way Tanga Tanga has been conducting its politics. There are more rumors that all affilaited Tanga Tanga movement leaders in western Kenya are going to bolt out and join the ANC and Ford Kenya bandwagon.
This is a big blow to William Ruto who has spent his entire time dishing handout in the Luhya nation hoping that his purported camouflaged generosity will convert the Luhya community to support his bid in 2022 against that of Hon. Musalia Mudavadi.
