Uhuru is prosecuting me for speaking the truth” Sonko now claims as he is arraigned in court.

Former Nairobi governor has drawn a long letter responding to Uhuru Kenyatta who has accused him of several things including wearing goggles.

MY PERSECUTION BY UHURU KENYATTA OVER SPEAKING THE TRUTH

I was very surprised yesterday to hear a whole President while addressing a small tribal gathering in Sagana, admit for the second time that he was behind my illegal impeachment, and this time round giving the most ridiculous reason on earth, that he removed me because I used to wear goggles!!!For starters, I wish to help the President understand the meaning of GOGGLES.According to the Cambridge Dictionary, goggles are “special glasses that fit close to the face to protect the eyes from chemicals, wind, water, CARTELS, etc.”According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, goggles are also defined as, “an electronic apparatus that covers the eyes and is used to enhance vision…

” Mr. President, I needed goggles to protect myself from the glare of the City cartels that include your sisters and cronies, and also to enhance my vision for Nairobi, and through them, I was able to deliver more than your government has been able to in EIGHT YEARS!Before you take me to Jail or kill me. Let me address you as hereunder: Goggles helped me transform the Pumwani Maternity Hospital from the dreaded death-trap it was to a world-class facility that our expectant mothers and newborn children received quality care before you introduced the Nairobi Metropolitan Cartel and suddenly services went to the dogs. Remember the incident of a woman giving birth outside the gate? Did that ever happen during my tenure?Goggles helped me establish the largest oxygen plant of its kind in East and Central Africa at the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital, the first renal unit at Mbagathi Hospital, and the first TB Centre at the Kangemi Health Centre, besides massive infrastructural development in our healthcare across the City.Googles enabled me to build FIVE new markets in Nairobi, that is, Karandini, Mwariro, New Wakulima, Westlands, and City Park, something that even your own sister Margaret was never able to achieve when she was Mayor in 1970 – 1976.Googles enabled me to construct THREE new fire stations in Waithaka, Kangundo Road, and Ruaraka, something that even your father was not able to do when he was President for fifteen years, and your eight years of misrule and mismanagement.Googles enabled me to build over 140 kilometers of roads in Nairobi in two years with very meagre resources, while my predecessor only managed less than 20 kilometers in five years.Googles enabled my administration to introduce free milk for all our children in ECDE Centres, yet eight years down the line you are yet to provide a single child in Kenya with a laptop as you lied to us back in 2013.Googles enabled me to clear mountains of garbage that had piled across the City for many years, including the illegal dumpsite that had been established in Kangemi, which I transformed into a clean and green memorial park with a children’s playground. Have you noticed that Nairobi has become dirtier since you reduced yourself to become the Governor of Nairobi in March last year, with the assistance of Saddam Hussein? Residents are tired of complaining, yet you boasted of capacity from the military and NYS.Goggles also enabled me to construct the FIFA-standard Dandora Stadium, which was stalled while 95% complete due to frivolous investigations by the EACC under your instructions, all aimed at frustrating me since my administration was performing better than your government. Where are the stadiums that you promised Kenyans EIGHT years ago?

Mr. President, you have made us your slaves for a very long time and this culture in your family of misusing and dumping people must come to an end. I truly pity the people who are daydreaming that they can ascend to the presidency with your single vote, since for a fact you have miserably lost the ground hence your selective invitation to a few Mt Kenya leaders to converge at State Lodge Sagana to discuss personalities instead of the real mess you have created in this country. It’s unfortunate that the people who stood by you have been relegated as dissidents and humiliated beyond belief. It’s said that this is a character in your family so the problem is hereditary.

Mr. President, you have basked under the glory of H.E William Ruto who single-handedly campaigned for you as you enjoyed your kinywaji. I wish to quote Psalms 41:9 “Even my closest friend whom I trusted, the one who ate my bread, has lifted his heel against me.” I commend the restraint and patience your diehard supporters from Mount Kenya have exercised, despite destroying their economic activities and livelihoods to benefit your family businesses. For an outgoing President, your legacy is a reflection of your failure or success but in this instance, I wish to reiterate Orengos’s statement in which he said, “Government eats their own people.”As a human being am really hurt not because of my impeachment, but by your confession that you were the one behind it. After I stood by you and even ferried Kenyans with my personal and family resources to the ICC in a bid to demonstrate solidarity, with all the accusations leveled against you including rape and murder, at a time when people did not believe in you.

Every evening while having dinner with my family, my children look at the photos they took with you at the statehouse and they shed tears for they do not believe you could have done something like that to me, and by extension my family Where I stand I have lost everything I tirelessly worked and fought for, having garnered 871,000 votes yet you paid 24 senators and 58 MCAs to ruin my political career for no reason at all.

For this may God grant you a long life to mess more people. As you are planning to jail me or even kill me using state machinery as your I must tell you the truth. You have truly messed up this country, and I want to assure you that what goes around comes around. As I predicted yesterday, today you have decided to use the police to ARREST and DETAIN me, but I will not be cowed or intimidated from speaking the truth

.Mike Mbuvi Kioko Sonko
