The BBI train has taken off with a cruising speed. Sooner rather than later the destination will arrive. The ANC brigade in Westlands constituency has not been left behind.
Hon Suleiman Hamisi Maleya is leading the hunt for signatures.
During the official launch of the ANC party signature launch at Amani house, Mr. Maleya led party faithful drawn from Westlands constituency in signing up and collecting signature books from the party leader.
‘’ We want to thank our party leader Hon Mudavadi for his efforts in ensuring that our reservations as a party were factored in the BBI document. Now that our grievances have been fully addressed, we shall comb all areas of the expansive Westlands constituency and ensure we deliver the highest number of signatures for BBI in Nairobi’’ Mr. Hamisi said .
Mr. Hamisi who is also eyeing the Kangemi central ward seat was also upbeat that Hon Mudavadi would clinch the presidency in 2022.
‘’ Our country’s economy is bleeding, we need trusted hands and a tried and tested economist to turn things around. as a businessman, I have no doubt that Hon Mudavadi fits the bill. We should therefore rally our troops around him to ensure that victory is achieved” added Hamisi.
Mr. Hamisi vied on ODM ticket in 2017 but lost controversially during party primaries that were marred by glaring irregularities. This time around, he is ready and on the ground mobilizing support both for his 2022 bid and for Musalia Mudavadi’s presidency. The entrance of Hamisi in Westlands politics on Anc ticket has given the party the impetus needed in readiness for 2022.
Hamisi a grassroots mobilizer and a sports enthusiast is expected to give the incumbent mca a run for his money and pundits have predicted that Hamisi will this time round trounce.
