Bundotich Buzeki rebukes Caleb Kositany, Businessman Wainaina, Oscar Sudi & Kimani Ngunjiri as he said, stop acting like warlords.
The politics of 2022 and its succession agenda are spreading like bushfire as politicians from both sides of the divide are staging their case to who would be the voters. Funerals and church are proving good avenues to politicians whenever they gather to send off the dead or meet for prayers.
Bundotich Buzeki is not left behind as he took the opportunity at the funeral in Eldoret to tear into Caleb Koistany, Businessman Wainana and Kimani Ngunjiri, politicians allied to Deputy president William Ruto. He lectured them on how to win voters.
” Don’t force people or give conditions and ultimatums to members of certain communities who are living in the rift Valley on who to vote for come 2022. It’s not a must you in on your first attempt. Buzeki said.
He further said, ” Voters from this region will be seduced by your development record. Bring development in their areas of business, areas of residence and appeal to their self interest and they will surely vote for you. But politics of force, politics of coercing people to vote for you and if they dont they will face consequences was buried in the old graves when we repealed Section 2 A of the constitution and introduced multi party democracy “
Without mincing on words, he told off Businessman Wainaina to his face, ” My supporters cannot come to your hotel and eat freely because of a belief votes and my victory for 2017 was planned and stolen from there as you watched ” A shocked Wainaina looked on and shook his head in disbelief.
And to Caleb Kositany, ” Stop spreading fakes news and rumors about me and my business. If you want to tell the story about my money, please say it completely or if you lack facts come to me I give you facts. Dont say half truths about me. Learn to give credit to people who helped you in the past. Can you the people of Eldoret how I gave you money when you were broke. Tell the people how you stayed at my door up to 5 o’clock in the morning, waiting for money so that you could afford your campaigns. Koistany stop spreading rumours, a charge Buzeki said as mourners completed his speech with response of tell them.
As he finished he rebuked Oscar Sudi and Kimani Ngunjiri. He told them ” Don’t incite communities living in the rift valley. As young leaders we will not accept loose tongues of leaders to abuse and disrespect elder members of our society and especially our mothers. Oscar Sudi and Kimani Ngunjiri sact as leader and not as warlords”
