Is Uhuru betraying Raila? This is one question that Kenyans are silently asking.
Prior to 2013 elections, Uhuru entered a coalition deal with Mudavadi but it immidiately aborted even before the ink that was used to jot the agreement had dried. This was despite Mudavadi standing by Uhuru in 2002 at the expense of loosing his Sabatia seat.
Deputy president Ruto stuck with Uhuru for three elections and made him president.
Today for the first time Cotu boss Francis Atwoli was begging Uhuru not to abandon his handshake partner. What does Atwoli know that we dont know? Was Atwoli speaking for himself or was he just delivering Baba’s message?
Many pundits opine or pray that Uhuru throws Ruto under the bus, if a person who made him(Uhuru) president can be betrayed, what makes Baba so sure that he wont be betrayed?
Atwoli’s arrogance did not go unnoticed, Proff Kisiang’ani observed.
“Today,COTU SG Atwoli spoke at State House with fattened innuendoes and outright arrogance. He told the President not to abandon the handshake, saying change of constitution would occur after Corona. Atwoli says his team represents the majority. Time will tell bwana Atwoli!” Proff Kisiangani said.
Having Atwoli as an advicer to both Uhuru and Raila is a practical joke that can be replayed to Mbio Koinange and General China our freedom fighters not tech savvy millenias who have decolonized mindset. Love or hate Ruto but ignoring him may be fatal.
