YOUTH LEADER ELICITS EMOTIONS AFTER HE URGES PRESIDENT KENYATTA TO EXTEND HIS TENURE TO 2025

Dismayed by the KEMSA scandal and its threatened consequences & sanctions if Kenya doesn’t give a proper audit, a youth leader from Nyanza has castigated leaders blowing the small issue out of proportion and said the leaders are making inflammatory statements so as to attract the international community to give Kenya sanctions. The youth leader has urged leaders to moderate their statements and be patriotic in their nation.

“Your Excellency, you met the Global Fund Executive Director Peter Sands on 3rd May 2019 at State House Nairobi and appreciated the support that the Global Fund is offering to Kenya and you reiterated your administration’s keenness on working with global fund to ensure successful implementation of Universal Health Coverage programme and our success here in Kenya has encouraged replication in other countries in Africa.” Said Douglas Ogari, youth leader from Kisii.

“But again your Excellency, the global fund & USAID are not naive not to detect media propaganda in this whole charade and know that this propaganda is being influenced by selfish quarters with no patriotism for their nation. Let me shock you your Excellency; they have even sponsored demonstrations to blow the matter out of proportion. We are happy that already you have ordered a daily update on the investigations of Covid-19 fund and a proper audit report will be presented to the Global fund. It shows your commitment in fighting AIDS, Malaria, TB & Covid-19 in Kenya.” Said the youth leader.

Mr. Ogari urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to extend his term to 2025 to give him time to complete his projects that have been affected by Covid-19 pandemic. “your Excellency, kindly extend your term to 2025 so as to give you time to deal with cartels and wind up development projects that have so far been affected by this Covid-19 pandemic.” Said Ogari.

He urged the President not to be distracted by leaders with divisive statements emanating from leaders allied to his deputy president whose intention is to destroy the gains that he has made since 2013. He thanked him for reforming Kenya through his hard working cabinet Secretaries led by CS Fred Matiang’i and CS Mutahi Kagwe “Your Excellency, ignore the negative pessimists who can’t help build our nation. They are trying to kill every effort you have put since 2013. For instance, when you developed a plan to reform the sugar industry by writing off 62 billion debt owned by sugar millers and farmers and lease five state owned Sugar factories at this time when millers are facing hard times, the pessimists have started a propaganda that you are planning to sell the millers to private investors! Your Excellency, after CS Mutahi Kagwe and CS Fred Matiang’i became firm in dealing with cartels, they are now calling for their resignation because they are strictly implementing your policies for the benefit of Kenyans. Lately, they are on Health PS Susan Mochache’s neck because she is sanitizing the health ministry by following strict procurement processes and not being manipulated by cartels.” Said the youth leader.

He asked the President to forge ahead with uniting Kenya through the handshake between him and former Prime minister Raila Odinga. “That your Deputy President William Ruto is mobilizing politicians to move around the country and say, “the only leader who can help us is Ruto, not Uhuru” is wrong and an attempt to impeach the President of Kenya. Sir, they no longer respect you nor your handshake brother Raila Odinga; in your collective efforts of uniting the country; some go to an extent of terming him a conman so as to divide Kenya. Dont take them serious; sovereignity remains with the people as stipulated in our constitution in Chapter 1 article 1 sub article 1 and we are fully standing with you on uniting the country and the war against corruption that itches them most. Division is their agenda; we have noted.” Said Ogari through an open letter to the head of state.
