Charity Ngilu Impeachment motion on the cards Tuesday next week as high court fails to grant her prayers.
Kitui county assembly mcas are up in arms to impeach the iron lady of masaa ya Ngilu fame. The governor of Kitui is being accused of serious allegation of corruption running into millions of shillings.
The governor has not been able to explain some of these allegations leveled against her government. The governor had gone to court to procure orders to stop the Kitui county assembly Mcas from sending her case to the senate but that move failed as the high court didn’t give her the lee way.
Sources close to the on going indicate that the Mcas are moving forward with the impeachment now that the ODM leader who was to sanitize her is out of the country.
The Mcas have vowed to work quickly through the impeachment so that the Senate cannot be able to save her like they did with Governor Anne Waiguru. The impeachment is slated on Tuesday nextweek.
Even as this is going on, the governor was overheard trying to make frantic calls to get some of the Mcas not to attend the Tuesday meeting. But by the time of www.goodmorningkenya going to press, no Mca had answered her calls and the governor is now a frustrated woman because she doesn’t know how the case will play out in the senate.
