The road to registration of ANC, when & who applied for the name, it’s not as claimed by the nominated mp, you will be shocked.

On 29th/10/2014 one Mr. Joram Godhard Ondere made an application to the registrar of political parties seeking to have some names reserved for a political party.

In his letter to registrar of political parties, he stated that he would like to have the following names reserved:

  1. Amani National Congress
  2. Azimio National Congress
  3. Citizens National Congress
  4. Alliance for National Convention

While making the application Mr. Joram said that ” I undertake to make the requisite payments due to you.

The letter in our custody clearly substantiates claims made by the embattled nominated mp who has for a long time, misled the public by making pronouncements in regards to ownership of ANC party. The misleading reports in a sections of the media have carried a lot of misinformation. Initial letter from registrar of political parties was addressed to the UDF Secretary general who was Mr. Justus Kizito.

Hon. Justus Kizito, the current Shinyalu mp who was at that particular time Secretary General of United Democratic Forum ( UDF), received an acknowledgement letter from registrar of political parties, Ms. Lucy K. Ndugu dated 3rd of November 2014, acknowledging that her office had received a request to register Amani National Congress as a political party.

While replying to it, in her letter the registrar of political parties noted that, ” We acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 28th of October 2014 on the above subject matter.

She further said that ” This is to inform you that Amani coalition is the name of a pre coalition agreement deposited in this office by your party and other signatories vide letter dated 22nd February 2013 (copy attached)”

She directed that in order to fast track the process, ” It’s our request that the other parties in the coalition forward a no objection letter for the use of “AMANI” as requested vide your letter under reference” This letter was copied to The Secretary general of The New Ford Kenya and The Secretary general of KANU.

At this particular time, the self claimed owner of ANC was nowhere in the picture and from the above communication schooled minds will decern and deduce an educated conclusion, that at no point did the nominated mp initiate a move to register the famous Amani National Congress party.

It was NOT his concept, NOT his idea or NOT his suggestion. It is obvious and many people know, by the time ANC was being registered, the nominated mp was NOT doing so well with the IT solution business he was running in the city. He was ladened with debt. He was almost running bankrupt. The business was at some point being auctioned. He had no extra money to spare to register a political party. And even he could do, he could do it for who? For himself?

So by making false, unfounded claims and peddling lies in the media that he is the owner of the PARTY, the creator of the PARTY or the founder of the PARTY, the nominated Mp misreporting the facts and his allegations are neither here nor there. The records are there.

The Nominated Mp should simply acknowledge to the public that, Hon. Musalia Mudavadi gave me a chance in the party when the process had already started and that the ANC leader preferred me over Hon. Justus Kizito. This is the true position.

Hon. Justus Kizito could be the Secretary general of ANC today had the ANC boss considered him, but when Hon. Justus Kizito missed the opportunity and position, he resigned from UDF and headed to ODM where the gods of politics rewarded him with an elected mp position.

The nominated Mp should not purpote to lie and cheat the public that he owns the party, actually he should be thankful and prayerful for Hon. Musalia for his personal reasons and the trust he put in him, in otherwords, Hon. Musalia actually came to his rescue while his business was facing a lot of challenges.

The ANC leader faciliated all the requirements not limited to paying for party registration fees, facilitated opening of offices in 24 counties thus meeting the requirements of the political act before issuance of the certificate.

At no point did the nominated mp use his reources or monies to traverse the country to meet the political ACT’s requirements. In this regard, it makes no sense at all for him to claim that he owns the party yet it’s clear, the position he is holding today, was given to him on a silver platter.
