I have given up on the fight to have my husband buried: Former TPF winner Ruth

Gospel singer Ruth Matete a former reality tv show Tusker Project Fame winner has today given up on her efforts to have her departed husband John Apewojeye best known as Beloved have a descent burial. Beloved John succumbed to burns after a gas cylinder exploded at their matrimonial home in Athi river over two a month ago.
His death was a bit controversial even as his Nigerian friend went on social media to dispute the real cause of death even before a postmoterm was conducted.

Her late husband’s body has been lying at the Kenyatta National mortuary since then. A government pathologist conducted a postmoterm and exonerated Ruth Matete of any guilt even as the Nigerian High commission still maintained that there was foul play over the death of the Nigerian national.
“You can hold the body and do with it as you please,” reads part of Matete’s letter to the embassy.

According to Ruth Matete’s lawyer Mr Odanga, Matete arrived at the decision after the embassy frustrated every effort to give her late husband a decent burial
“She will now try to move on and should not be contacted by anyone in regard to the burial,” said Odanga.

Last month, Matete’s family accused the Nigerian Embassy of delaying Apewajoye’s burial even after his family consented to having his remains buried in Kenya
