Governor Wangamati’s journey to Rome started the day he misappropriated county funds meant for covid 19.

Bungoma county assembly members will this week start a process of impeaching the Hon Governor.

His exit has been fueled further by his sponsored take over of Ford Kenya in a move that Sen Wetangula has termed as cowardice and treacherous.

Facing the axe is not only the governor but also two of his Cec.

As the county was putting in place covid 19 control measures, over 2.5M is alleged to have been spent on buying jerricans valued at @10000 something that has raised more questions than answers.

This saw the county assembly reorganise its leadership which saw Wangamati leaning Mcas dethroned.

Out of the 60 Mcas in the county assembly, Wangamati controls only 9 which makes his ouster a foregone conclusion. The other 51 MCAs are allied to the Ford Kenya party leader.

Hon Majimbo Okumu although an Odm member believes it is about time Wangamati kissed the county goodbye. Members too believe since Health CeC Hon. Anthony Walela wanted the county dissolved, they’d rather impeach him.

As the battle for Ford Kenya moves from streets to registra of political parties, it’s believed that Wetangula controls the political class of Bungoma county and the purported coup de’ta by Wangamati has just cooked his goose.

Speculations are rife that the business of the county will be hampered badly as the battle will spill to the county assembly. Speculators are also saying that the ODM SG was seen ta the county trying to convince Mcas to backpedal on the imminent Impeachment move. At this moment, signatures have been completed.
