Meet the youthful Nairobi county Mca whose political future is bright. The Upper Savanna Ward Mca is a man who does not shy away from speaking his mind. The former Afc leopards secretary General who is now serving the Upper Savanna ward is not only a man with a big body frame but has a commanding voice and a big heart. Behind the giant figure, there is a father, a brother and a husband who is always ready to listen and offer help whenever called upon.
On 28/4/2020 as Hon Stazo was driving out of his office at county hall, he bumped into friends whose only problem was lunch. Since all the eateries around town were closed, Hon Stazo thought of how best to assist.
“Yes I met them in town and they had issues with food. Most of them are juakali artisans who ply their trade here in town but covid 19 has rendered them jobless since people dont really buy anything apart from food. So I decided to buy them some food to go enjoy with their families” Stazo said.
According to the group leader one Mr Viravu Edagiza, Hon Stazo bought them 10 bales of flour and gave them something small for mboga.
“Yes we are so gratefull to Hon Stazo. When we aporoached him we actually wanted him to buy us lunch but he instead bought us supper for two days na akacheza kama yeye” says Mr Edagiza.
Another beneficiary one Mr Vincent fondly known as Miguna Miguna was full of praise too.
“We are happy for what Hon Stazo has done, some of us dont even vote in his area but he has a heart to help us. We pray that God will richly bless him and his family. We know Hon Babu Owino is going for Sonko’s seat and it is our wish that Stazo climbs up as next Embakasi east Mp” Miguna said.
Despite all the praises Hon Stazo remained humble and only said “What eats my brothers must also eat me for it to get satisfied, it is therefore my duty to protect my brothers so that Iam safe. It pains my heart to see my people suffer ” he adds.
Hon Stazo joins a list of emerging luhya leaders in the city who are in the race to sort the perennial luhya leadership quation in Nairobi
