I am still the boss Sonko tells Nairobians as Former Mayor Godfrey Majiwa threatens to impeach him

Nairobi county standoff continues as Sonko declares he is still the elected governor.

Governor Sonko insists that he will not handover documents to Treasury. Sonko says National government officials are undermining him despite being popularly elected as county boss.

A section of MCAs led by Former city mayor Hon Godfrey Majiwa are plotting to reintroduce Sonko impeachment motion. The first mpeachment motion was shelved after MCAs met President.

“Hon Sonko is now saying that he signed the handover documents by mistake, we are asking him to kindly tell us what other county documents did he sign by mistake?” asked Majiwa.

According to Govn Sonko’s spokesman Mr Ben Mulwa, the governor had good intentions but some people have hijacked the process for personal gains.

Will Sonko survive the second impeachment attempt?
