STOP BLAMING NYAMWEYA AND WORK SOCCER FANS TELL MWENDWA AS FIFA BAN LOOMS

Nick Mwendwa was elected on a change platform and the young sports administrator promised to do things differently. However as things change, the more they remain the same. It now emerges that we only changed the forest but monkeys remained the same.

Four years down the line, FKF is still grappling with the same old problems infact it is not easy to tell whether Nyamweya left or not. Infact Nick Mwendwa is even more Nyamweya than Nyamweya himself.

FIFA has read a riot act and Kenya is likely to receive a ban. With everything going wrong in Kenyas from politics to economy. Kenyans only source of joy is to watch Gor mahia play Lobi stars of Nigeria or Kariobangi Sharks play Asante Kotoko in Kasarani. With Fifa ban looming, all these will not happen. The high flying starlets will be in jeopardy. In short soccer will grind to a complete halt.

Yesterday FKF and by extension Nick Mwendwa gave a press statement reacting to the looming sanctions from Fifa. The press statement contained alot of nothing, no solution on the way forward but full of empty words without meaning. Mwendwa in his true self only throws the blame on Nyamweya who left office 4years ago rather than giving us a detailed plan on how he intend to steer FKF out of the impending crisis as mandated by millions of soccer lovers.

It is a joke to imagine that Nick was going to be re -elected unopposed for another 4year term of nothing. The Ministry of Sports is still questioning how FKF used 244 million at the Afcon tournament, the Ministry has distanced itsself from FKF predicamentsand nothing is expected to come from CS Amina. The ministry has categorically said it will not bail out FKF. On this, Nick Mwendwa should carry the cross for his misjudgment of firing Amrouche.

AMROUCHE PAYMENT FOR UNLAWFUL DISMISAL

Football Kenya Federation is in receipt of a communique from FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee directing that former Harambee Stars Head Coach Adel Amrouche be paid Kes. 109 Million in compensation, for wrongful dismissal.

The Communication, signed by FIFA Disciplinary Committee chairperson Yeboah Anin, additionally directs that the payment to Mr. Amrouche be made within the next 30 days, failure to which FIFA will sanction Kenya.
The federation has also been fined an additional Kes. 4 million as costs sustained in connection with the arbitration procedures and costs for the FIFA Disciplinary Committee proceeding.

In view of the foregoing, the federation, whilst remaining optimistic continues to actively engage both the government and FIFA, with a view of finding possible solutions to enable Kenya deal with the matter conclusively and without the possibility of having to be sanctioned.

Essentially, the federation in an effort aimed at preventing a reoccurrence of the aforementioned case that was occasioned by former FKF president Sam Nyamweya, has henceforth adopted a policy prohibits the hiring of national team coaches, at all levels on closed contracts.

What next for Kenya???????.
