Today, in my capacity as the Nairobi ODM County Chairman, I convened a meeting with chairpersons from all 17 constituencies in Nairobi to deliberate on key matters affecting the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party in the county.
Our discussions focused on the forthcoming county elections, strategies to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, and preparations for the ODM 20th Anniversary celebrations. These celebrations will be marked nationwide, culminating in a grand event in Mombasa County. Together, we reaffirmed our commitment to unity, effective organisation, and the continued growth of ODM as the party of choice for the people of Nairobi and beyond.
In line with this, ODM Nairobi resolved to go all-out in the upcoming Kariobangi North MCA by-election. The branch leadership assured members that party nominations, slated for 29th September 2025, will be free, fair and transparent — a show of ODM’s commitment to internal democracy.
Even more significant is the unveiling of a grassroots “meet-the-people” mobilisation tour across all 17 constituencies. The exercise, insiders say, will not only re-energise ODM’s base but also position the party as the unstoppable force heading into the 2027 General Elections.
For Aladwa, this is about more than just elections. It is about proving that ODM — now 20 years strong — can still reinvent itself, inspire loyalty, and deliver victories where it matters most.
“ODM has always been and will remain the people’s choice. As we celebrate 20 years, Nairobi will lead the way in showing that this party is only getting bigger and better,” Aladwa declared after the meeting.
From Kariobangi North to the 2027 ballot, ODM Nairobi is making it clear: the next chapter of the Orange story is already being written — and George Aladwa is holding the pen.
