Hon Mohammed Ali (Jicho Pevu)Demands Accountability Over Brutal Murder of Albert Ojwang

Nyali MP Hon. Mohammed Ali has broken his silence on the brutal killing of Albert Ojwang, a young teacher whose death has sent shockwaves across the nation. Speaking out forcefully, the legislator condemned what he termed as attempts to cover up the circumstances surrounding Ojwang’s murder and called for full accountability from the police. While acknowledging Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat’s belated decision to step aside pending investigations, Hon. Ali stressed that resignation is not absolution.>
“Let it be unequivocally clear: Lagat’s resignation does not and cannot erase his potential culpability in this heinous crime,” Ali said.
The Nyali MP, a former investigative journalist, decried the slow pace of justice, warning that justice delayed is justice denied. He insisted that stepping down is merely the bare minimum in the path toward justice and transparency.Ali posed a direct and urgent question that is now on the minds of many Kenyans:

Who ordered the murder of Albert Ojwang? He went on to caution that any attempts by rogue elements within the police service to distort or obscure the facts surrounding Ojwang’s death are both unacceptable and doomed to fail.>
“The truth always finds its way to the surface,” he noted. “And when it does, all those implicated must face the full weight of the law.
”Hon. Ali concluded his statement with a powerful call to action, emphasizing that the time for moral clarity and institutional accountability is long overdue:
“The time for transparency, justice, and moral clarity was yesterday — but we can still accept it today.”
As the nation reels from yet another high-profile death under suspicious circumstances, Ali’s bold stance is likely to add pressure on state agencies to deliver answers and justice — not just rhetoric.
