The Foundation she runs is different in the sense that it aims at educating, enlightening and empowering people.

“There is no better way of changing lives than using the three Es approach. As a foundation we have deliberately chosen to educate our people on their rights , sponsoring the needy to go to school right from primary level to tertiary colleges while challenging the masses to be enlightened and understand what is going on around them starting with general hygiene, climate change, the state of economy and also we try to ensure there is political hygiene so that whenever an election cycle comes around, our people can not only make an informed decision but will also go a step further and hold the elected to account. In a nutshell Norah Bosibori is a one stop center that is aiming at ensuring a 360° transformation” she says.

You may have 3000 ksh and you look at it as very little amount but to a mama mboga or a roadside roasted maize seller it is the only thing that can transform her life and feed her entire family for many days. The cost of living has gone high and we must help each other to atleast put food on the table. Helping small scale traders is so dear to my heart. We receive numerous requests and at times we are overwhelmed but we get encouragement from those we have helped before. Whenever we pass by and see them smiling we fasten our shoe laces and walk even harder knowing that lives have been impacted” narrates Bosibori.

The news of the arrival of this latest initiative and service spread like bush fire in the hamattan and all the media houses were jostling to have a piece of it aired on their channels. Both KTN and K24 have highlighted the efforts by Norah Bosibori Foundation beaming live pictures of a happy Dagoretti North community riding to work for free.

“The cost of living has really skyrocketed thanks to the Finance bill act and the noose diving of the Kenya shilling against the dollar. Households are really struggling . Those trekking to work from Kawangware to Westlands, and to Industrial area are really spending lots of energy which in the long run affects their output at work. It is against this background that we are trying to help where we can but we are urging the government to revise the taxes imposed on fuel to atleast relieve many of our people of the heavy burden” added Bosibori.
