Mudavadi kin Mr Patrick Ayisi Ingoi appeals for help as he serves jail term in a Tanzanian prison

On December 30th 2018, The court of appeal
Sitting in Nairobi made a ruling that changed the life of businessman cum politician Mr Patrick Ayisi Ingoi.

Mr Ayisi once contested the Shinyalu MPs seat losing narrowly to the then former MP the late Lilechi.

After the election loss, Mr Ayisi maintained his robust business ideals. At one point he was mentioned in controversial DECI pyramid schemes which later died a natural death.

The ghosts of his past life whether real or framed came to haunt him when he was implicated in a bank robbery in Arusha Tanzania.

Mr Ayisi was accused of stealing Sh23 million from a Tanzanian bank 19 years ago and was extradited to face robbery with violence charges in Tanzania and later jailed.

Before his extradiction, Ayisi had appealed against the decision but lost.

In the judgement Justices Philip Waki, Roselyne Nambuye and Patrick Kiage dismissed Ingoi’s appeal and ordered that he be taken Tanzania to face the charges.

Ingoi was promptly arrested in court after the pronouncement of the judgement and taken to Kilimani police station awaiting extradition to Tanzania.

Ingoi and fugitive Wilfred Onyango Ngangi were among the suspects involved in the robbery who included some Tanzanians. Nganyi vanished in the thin air and is believed to be in Mozambique.

Mr Ayisi Patrick a former staunch supporter of Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi languishing in a Tanzanian prison.

Ayisi was not only a strong supporter of Mudavadi’s presidential bid in 2013, and 2017 before the latter shelved his bid to support Raila under Nasa but he is also a blood relative.

Many people who have spoken to him from a Tanzanian jail say that the once flamboyant businessman is in bad shape fighting high blood pressure occasioned by the not so good prison environment.

As loneliness and homesick continue battering Ayisi in a foreign prison, his beloved mother passed on and was laid to rest a fortnight ago in Shinyalu. Those who travelled to Tanzania to break the bad news say that Ayisi was crest fallen and wept uncontrollably. Mudavadi’s wife and Ayisi’s wife are sisters.

“My friend Ayisi is in a very bad shape. His health is failing him. We have tried to speak to those in authority to try and negotiate his release or better still have him transferred into a Kenyan prison facility so that we can check on him regularly as we encourage him. Ayisi maintains that he was framed. His daily prayer is for his brother Hon Musalia Mudavadi to help him get back his freedom” Amaliachi a close friend said.

Raila negotiated for the release of Don Bosco Gichana in March 2018.

The incarceration of Mr Patrick Ayisi Ingoi a close ally of Mudavadi has for some time since Kenya Kwanza government took over been on the lips of many Western Kenya people.

There are loud whispers on the ability of both Mudavadi and Wetangula to strategically fight for their people.

Many pundits are wondering how Raila by merely being a handshake partner to Uhuru Kenyatta negotiated the freedom of Don Bosco Gichana. Don Bosco is remembered for gifting Raila with a brand new red Hammer car.

If Raila managed to rescue Don Bosco Gichana from a Tanzanian prison where he was facing severe crimes of money laundering and drugs. How hard is it for Mudavadi to help his own brother with the whom they have married from the same family get out? When will the Mulembe nation realize the fruits of this Kenya Kwanza regime when our own people are languishing in jail in a foreign country as both Mudavadi and Wetangula drive about in state of the art high end cars. When will we pertake of this grandeur?” asked an agitated luhya who did not wish to be named.

By the time of filing this story, no witness had come forth to testify against Ayisi. He is now pleading for assistance by way of talking to the government of Tanzania to unconditionally release him and compensate him.

Does Mudavadi and or Wetangula have the muscle to engage the Tanzanian government and aid their ailing kin? Time will tell
