“Education remains dear to my heart” Says Gatina Ward MCA Hon Swaka as he issues bursaries to Gatina residents

Hundreds of Gatina Ward residents today turned up at the Gatina Ward offices to receive bursaries.

The area MCA Hon Kennedy Swaka popularly known as Mwalimu due to his love for education presided over the event.

Speaking during the occassion, Hon Swaka reiterated his dedication of ensuring all school going children are in school.

“Education is the best tool and riches that we can bestow to our children. I have travelled this route before, I have personally started an education center to try and help our people. Together with our area MP Hon Elachi and our governor Hon Sakaja, I will do everything humanly possible to help educate our children” Swaka said.

On their part, the beneficiaries thanked the area MCA for conducting a free and transparent process where the needy and deserving cases benefitted.

“We want to thank our area MCA Mwalimu Swaka for such a wonderful and transparent process. For over 10 yrs I have been applying for this bursary without success. This time around, I just made an application and the bursary committee appraised my application and here Iam. All the residents are benefitting irrespective of their tribe, faith or political persuasion. We thank Hon Swaka” John Atieli said

To suppliment what the bursary is doing, the Gatina Ward MCA Hon Swaka further promised to use his vast networks in the education sector to ensure school going kids get a chance to further their studies.

“As your area MCA, I will not not relent in helping ensure we support our young boys and girls.Education is the best equalizer. To help curb insecurity, drugs and general juvenile deliquency. We must work hand in hand to help achieve 100% transition in line with government policy” added Mwalimu Swaka.
