Ziwani MCA Millicent Mugadi’s education and trade development record key for her re election.

Ziwani/Kariokor Ward Member of the County Assembly (MCA) Millicent Mugadi has outlined her impressive track record as she seeks a third term as the area ward representative during the August 9th general elections.
According to Mugadi, milestones achieved during her tenure as MCA have touched every sector of Ziwani ward and if she wins a third term as the area MCA, the ward will realise a full transformation.

“I feel that my two terms have been people centred. We have managed to be felt in every sector. During my tenure, I have managed to support over 6000 students on bursary,” Mugadi said.

“As the chairperson of the house committee on education, it is in my time that we brought new regulations that increased MCA bursary from Ksh 5,000 to Ksh 50,000 that a student can benefit from individually unlike before when the 5000 ceiling meant that the MCA bursary did not do much to needy students. Today, an MCA can pay a full year’s school fees to a needy student,” Mugadi noted.

“In the area of business, I have managed to ensure that Mwariro market was fully constructed and traders settled in, in the most honest way that is balloting,” She said.
The MCA also noted that during her tenure, she has managed to ensure the county has built a full leather factory at Kariakor market with all leather equipments making it easier for leather traders to produce quality leather market in the world.

“I have ensured that the county build a leather factory at Kariokor market to be among the world leaders in the leather industry. I have also managed to ensure all Ziwani roads are being done,” Mugadi narrated.
“We have finalized the phase two of urban renewal and Ziwani is one of the estates that will see new houses done on low-cost prices despite the challenges we had in the county,” Mugadi added.
Mugadi also intimated that Kariakor open air shades are nearing completion.
