Businessman Antony Waithaka peoples choice for Makadara Mp 2022.

Majority of the residents of Makadara constituency would elect businessman Anthony Waithaka if elections were held today, this according to a poll released today by Mizani Africa.

Waithaka leads race for Makadara


According to the poll, Waithaka, a businessman cum philanthropist would beat former area MP Benson Mutura to clinch the seat currently held by ODM Nairobi chairman George Aladwa.
Waithaka polled 33/5 percent in the poll, conducted between 5th and 12th January, 2022. Mutura would be second with a rating of 26.2 percent while Fred Aketch is ranked third with 18.6 percent.
The comparative analysis of who the people of Makadara would elect their member of parliament was a random sampling of respondents distributed proportionate to the population across the eastlands constituency in a bid to understand voter preference.
Waithaka is vying for the Azimio la Umoja ticket to gun for the seat. Others in the poll were Brian Mulama with 12.3 percent and Julias Kaunda with 7.3 percent.
Since announcing his intention to run for the Makadara seat, Waithaka, has used his charity organisation Antony Waithaka Foundation to guide and facilitate women groups in Makadara constituency endearing him to the electorate.
The city businessman, philanthropist and politician Waithaka has announced his intentions to run for the Makadara parliamentary seat rolling out various empowerment activities across the constituency where women and youth have been major beneficiaries.
Women groups in the constituency have been undergoing training facilitated by the Anthony Waithaka Foundation to enable them acquire various Government loans available to women and youth groups, an opportunity they have largely missed out in the past.
