Paul Otuoma and Jakoyo Midiwo set to replace Hon Mbadi and Sifuna as Odm chairman and Sg respectively.

There is looming changes in the Orange Democratic Movement party. As the party readies itself for another bruising battle in 2022, it is believed that Raila wants to have battle hardened generals at the helm of the partyThis impending changes will most probably affect the positions of the chairman currently held by Suba Mp Hon John Mbadi and Sg Mr Edwin Sifuna.

Of late Sifuna has been issueing contradicting statements thus putting Odm and its coalition partners at loggerheads. A fortnight ago, Wiper leader issued a statement stating that he has an agreement with Raila in relation to 2022 politics.

Without seeking clarifications, Sifuna sprung-forth like a wounded tiger with guns blazing dismissing Hon Musyoka despite the fact that Musyoka is a senior politician and a co principal in Nasa. Sifuna is further accused of not fitting in the shoes of the office of the Sg considering the hurculian task that carries the weight of an sg of a party of Odm’s magnitude.

Exit Mbadi enter Dr Otuoma. Dr Otuoma was poised to dislodge Ojamoog as Busia governor in 2017 but rigging and claims of ‘mole!mole! ‘ spoiled his march. Otuoma has been dallying with Anc but since Odm’s ground in western remains shaky due to the combined resurgence of Mudavadi and Wetangula, Odm considers Otuoma a convinient ally in retaining its hold of Busia county.

Ojamoog could not be of much help considering that he is on his final term as governor.By rejoining Odm and assuming the prestigious position of party chairman, Otuoma will be having one hand on the governorship but he will have to contend with Nambale Mp Hon Sakwa Bunyasi who has declared his canditure for Busia governorship on Anc party.

Also in the race to replace Ojamoog is the current Busia county Woman Mp Hon Florence Mutua
