Is Hon Simba Arati running for Kisii Governorship?

The vocal Dagoretti North member of Parliament has broken his silence on his future political plans.
The second term city Mp who is loved by many for his excellent mobilisation skills has laid it clear that he has unfinished business in Dagoretti North.
Speaking in Dagoretti North area while leading a sensitization campaign by social workers in a covid 19 war, Hon Arati popularly known as Simba told locals that he is focused on delivering his election promises even as he lends his hand in fighting the corona virus pandemic.
“Simba is not going anywhere, Dagoretti North is my home and i have unfinished business here. Schools, roads and sewer lines must be built” Simba added.
On whether he is going for Kisii governorship, Hon Simba said that he is focused on delivering on his election pledges and serving his electorate.
“Dogoretti North is very dynamic and pulling a tribal card to win votes will never work cant work. In Dagoretti north we live as brothers and sisters not as tribes. In 2017 people came here with tribal cards others with lots of money but we defeated them. Dagoretti north is a united constituency for all Kenyans” Simba said.
In 2017, Simba Arati won against Amos Shilibwa of Anc who presented himself as a luhya candidate and Nairobi county Speaker Beatrice Elachi who rode on the Kikuyu vote and Luhya vote. Elachi is of mixed parentage with a kikuyu mother and a luhya father and married to a luhya while Amos Shilibwa is a pure luhya.
Going by the dynamics in Kenyan politics, Simba remains the caandidate to beat in 2022 especially with Elachi going for women rep seat in Nairobi on Odm and Shilibwa’s political future not yet known.
However city youthfull Businessman Sam Wanyama Sambu is likely to cause Simba some sleepless nights for he is born and bred in Kawangware and he enjoys massive support from youth across all tribes thanks to his annual soccer tournaments and business empowernment programmes that have seen many youth and women start small business ventures.
If elections are held now, brace yourselves for a battle of the jungle Simba vs Wanyama
