Bad Badi not my buddy Sonko now declares as he terms NMS an illegal entity

Embattled Nairobi county governor has come out guns blazing as he dismisses Badi led NMS.

On Thursday while appearing before a senate committee, Sonko let the cat out of the bag.

Senate PAC chairman Proff Sam Ongeri wanted the governor to answer some audit queries on how his administration had transacted business at the county.

“Mr Chairman, Iam sorry because Iam not in a position to respond to your audit queries. You all know I have a pending case in court which has led me to be barred from accessing my office at city hall. Most of the documents I intend to rely on in answering these questions are there” Sonko said.

The embattled governor w xent further and accussed Badi led NMS of painting him in bad light.

“Mr Chairman, this NMS thing led by Badi is blackmailing me and soiling my name. I am not a failure, I have done a lot for this city. As the substantive governor of Nairobi, there are projects I started and some are completed but I cant even be allowed to launch them. The courts have ruled that NMS is an illegal entity. Should they plunder Nairobi, it is me that will be put to task. I will henceforth move around and execute my duties like launching projects in Nairobi” declared Sonko.

Governor Sonko caused laughter at the senate when he requested to be shown where the bar was. It all started when Hon Ongeri apologised for not offering tea to the governor but invited him for lunch instead to which the governor replied ” Mr chairman is there a bar here at the senate” this cheeky question left all in stitches.

Governor Sonko later took a ride to Langata to start actualizing his thteat of resuming duties asl the substantive governor where he toured some of his development projects.

Governor Sonko ceeded some of his functions to NMS which brought in Badi a position that Sonko seem to be regretting now.
