Mr Tom Alila who had earlier expressed his intentions of contestinh for the FKF presidency against Incumbent Nick Mwendwa said he changed his mind after consultations with football stakeholders and officials.
“To me It’s not a big deal to be the FKF president I can serve football and the federation in any capacity,” he said.
The official said he decided to shift his base from Nyanza to Nairobi as he is currently based in the Kenyan capital where he runs his business and stays with his family.
Alila vs Ouma.
Alila will be battling the FKF Nairobi East branch chairman Michael “Chair” Ouma and Kakamega United founder Isaac Macharia.
The incumbent FKF Nyanza NEC representative Joseph Andere will be defending his seat against Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Western Stima chairman and ex Gor Mahia ace Laban Jobita.

The other candidates eyeing the NEC apart from Nairobi and Nyanza seats have romped home unopposed.
They include the FKF South Coast chairman ‘Zero Zero One’ Gabriel Mgendi (Coast), Motown FC chief Ahmad ‘Kador’ Dabbar(North Eastern) , Mureithi Nabea (Eastern), David ‘Shei’ Chege (Central, Bernard Langat (Upper Rift Valley), David Bunei (Lower Rift Valley) and Tony ‘Bishop’ Kweya (Western).
The county/branch elections will be held on September 17th, before the national polls set for October 17th
