The changing goal posts of Luhya leaders- lack of self belief or greed at the center of their politics?

They move from one place to another. They dance to every song, every tune and beat every political drum for anyone throwing out money. What is the difference between the local voter and a senior Luhya leader who is in parliament? Is there any gap? Luhya leaders represent POINT OF VIEW OF THE COMMUNITY. Through them, you can sample the underlying, dominant and prevalent thinking quotient of the community. Through their public behavior you can understand how the community works, thinks, feels & breathes.
Luhya leaders are such a broken mirror, the rural folks cant use them to see their face. They have become such an embarrassment and an epitome of Mbeko-Mbekho. The young leaders are not also not making the difference. The first time Mps are not also any how different or better so to speak.
They promote the lower characters of human behavior, low demeanor, low self esteem, lack of self-belief, high powered political brokerage, imaginary -self opposition in the name of, we are the leaders & the rest should follow us.
Luhya community lacks warriors, political fighters, thinkers and defenders of the community’s political interest at large. False statistics say Luhyas are many, that’s what numbers say, but their numbers have become a curse. A curse that cant help them ascend to power, they are too many to an extent, division has become the norm.
Any Luhya man or woman will rise to oppose his fellow brother or sister rather than support. He will blame his brother or sister and side with non Luhya at any competitive post or position. If you ask why he or she is doing that, all of them will site intangible reasons, speak of things that don’t make sense as the reasons why he or she thinks supporting non Luhya is the best option.
Luhya brothers have never learnt to work together, pull togther, or walk together. This fact has become so evident and prominent that Non Luhyas are using it to exploit the community for their own advantage. Any Luhya who is opposing another Luhya at this moment will definitely be opposed when his time comes.
The community has split itself and it will continue to split itself as long as the non-Luhya continue to exploit the faulty lines that are holding it together and as long as the so called Luhya leaders are speaking from their perceived good or right sections. The groupings withing the community at the moment will not deliver the presidency at all. They will run in circles and by the time they realize their mistakes, other communities will have already organized themselves and will be ready for the taking of the presidency.
