Luo musicians should desist from composing songs in praise of Raila who will ignore them at the hour of need like he did to Jachiga~Osawa.
Days after the controversial burial of Ohangla artist Abenny Jachiga, a former Odm youth leader who has turned his back on politics and started a business selling ovacados has lectured fellow luos against releasing songs in praise of Jakom.
All Luo musicians must stop this idea of composing songs to ‘praise’ Raila Odinga and other leaders from Luo Nyanza.
In 2017 the late Abenny Jachiga composed a revolution Song “Maraga Odagi” praising Raila and NASA brigades.
When he passed away Baba didn’t even mind to condole with his family. Ich Lit Joluo!!

When he died the Son of Adonijah was among the first people to send condolences messages . He even attended his burial in Gatanga and eulogized him as a Patriotic Luos Awuoro!!

The number of young people from Luo(Onagi) looking up to politicians(the most dishonest people) in any society is worrying. Nearly every Luo youth you meet is an aspiring politician and has some sort of political godfather/mentor.
We have almost zero mentors in other sectors like business, innovation(I may be wrong, if there is please link me up). Is e the only way out for us. A couple of months agh. o, we had this young lady(not luo) at the studio, she was shooting a video for her Vlog. The episode for that day was about(If I remember correctly) financial literacy for the youth, and her guest for that episode was this (elderly kikuyu guy).
What struck me most was his simplicity and how easy it was for him to mingle with us and answer questions from the young people he found in the studio. It left me wondering if we have ‘alternative’ leaders like him from Luo Nyanza.
Is all we are left with is aspire to be Ohangla musicians and ‘sangwenyas’ to sing praises to our political leaders(who rarely give a fuk) for petty handouts? What are we defensive about?
